Wait, who is this?
That gal to the right is in her happy place - in Greece visiting friends, iced coffee in hand, with wild kittens looking for cuddles.
I’m Danielle, and I never thought I’d be a financial coach, or any kind of coach to be honest. However, I am passionate about money (hear me out).
What drives us in life, what brings light to our eyes, that is where our values lie. And ultimately, money is the tool that helps us live out our values. Both in how we earn our money, and in how we spend it.
No matter how little, nor how much money any of us have, our money is a reflection of what matters most to us. And yet too often money and financial stress is what ends up blocking us from using it as a tool to achieve the life we want.
I’m passionate about money, because I’m passionate about what makes life worth living. We all deserve a life well spent.
My background:
For 6+ years I worked at NerdWallet (personal finance company), during which I was passionate about expanding financial education, addressing systemic injustices and the role of psychology in how we earn and spend money.
For over a decade I’ve managed my personal finances through spreadsheets that I evolved over time to meet my budgetary needs, and more importantly to keep accountability for how my relationship to money matches my values.
Through my chronic illness journey I’ve learned a lot about nervous system regulation, and I quickly tied together how financial stressors have a very real impact on our physical health. I also learned how to help my brain and body work through these stressors.
Trained as a postpartum doula, which influences my belief in providing a no judgement zone to clients. It also taught me how to provide trauma-informed care, so that no matter what a client chooses to disclose, I will act with sensitivity around potential triggers for trauma.
